29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
Matthew 11:29-30 AMPC
Learn about Jesus' commands
In Matthew 11:29-30 Jesus is speaking to a crowd and teaching them to take His yoke upon them and to learn about Him and His teachings. Jesus came to set a New Covenant and gave us commands that we should learn and obey.
Jesus commands the 11 Apostles in Matthew 28:20 to teach everything He commanded them to the new disciples of ALL NATIONS. Everything Jesus commands in the four gospels is for every Christian to learn and obey. Jesus is our Lord (Ruler, Master, Owner). It is essential that we learn, teach, and obey His commands.
In the Old Testament, the children of Israel had to bear a huge yoke and a heavy burden. Over 600 commands. The commands of Jesus are lighter and are not burdensome. There are about 100 commands of Jesus. We are not under the Mosaic Law but we are under the Law of Christ as Paul speaks about in Galatians 6:2.
If anyone is having trouble with what they should study, learn the gospels and search out ALL of the commands of Jesus. Then teach it, and obey it. We obey Jesus because we LOVE Him!
The way we show God that we love Him is by obeying what He commands.
23 Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.
24 Anyone who does not [really] love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but [comes] from the Father Who sent Me.
John 14:23-24 AMPC
Do you love Jesus?
Are you going to study, teach, and obey what He commands?
